Hanley helped me accomplish what I could not do on my own. That is to learn how to live a happy and fulfilling sober life. I have never been to a rehabilitation facility before but I cannot imagine another facility that could be any better than Hanley has been to me. Both during, and even after I was a patient.

When I got to Hanley I felt like I was drowning in a pit of quicksand! They took my hand (the only piece of me still sticking up out of the sand) and pulled me back to life! Their staff is absolutely the best in the industry! They care about each and every one of their patients! Their alumni team checks in on me regularly! …

Questions
Questions people ask before calling Hanley Center
Is medical detox included in residential treatment?
Yes. Detox happens on campus and is included in residential treatment at Hanley Center. Doctors and nurses manage withdrawal around the clock, and when detox ends you move straight into your program with the same team.
Do you treat mental health conditions along with addiction?
Yes. Depression, anxiety, trauma, and bipolar disorder are treated at the same time as substance use. A full time psychiatrist and psychologists are on staff, and our Center for Brain Recovery provides psychological testing, neurofeedback, and biofeedback.
Will my insurance help pay for rehab at Hanley Center?
Many PPO plans include out of network benefits that can cover part of treatment. Call us or send the form, and our team will verify your specific benefits for free and explain any costs before you commit to anything.
What if I have Medicare, Medicaid, or an HMO plan?
Hanley Center works with PPO plans that have out of network benefits, with employer EAPs, and with private pay. Call us anyway. If another program is a better fit for your coverage, our admissions team will help you find one.
How long does residential treatment last?
Your clinical team sets your length of stay and reviews it as you progress. Older adults often need more time, because the body can take longer to heal. Admissions can walk you through what to expect for your situation.
Can I call for a family member?
Yes. Many of our calls come from a spouse, parent, or adult child. An admissions specialist can talk through the options, and if your loved one is not ready, we can refer you to a qualified interventionist.
Can my family be part of treatment?
Yes. Our five day Family Program is free for family members and close friends of every patient. It combines education, support, and time with your loved one, and a Family Program team member calls after admission to plan dates.
What happens after I leave?
Before discharge you build a continuing care plan with your team. After that, our alumni team offers lifetime support, including weekly alumni groups, monthly anniversary nights, and a reunion weekend every October.
Is Hanley Center a 12 Step program?
Treatment combines 12 Step immersion with evidence based therapies such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR, plus medical and spiritual care. The goal is to treat the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
